Registration is the first step a visitor takes to become a user on a website. Each registration style in HotDoodle automatically requests specific information from the user in order to register them as a user on the website, place them in a group, and possibly allow them the ability to login to the website in the future.
Registration Appearance – Complete this section if you are including registration in the Login Block. Choose the type of registration form and the title of the registration box.
- Link - This options displays a "Register" text link below the login fields on your website. When the "Register" link is clicked, visitors are asked for their First and Last Name, Email Address, and New Password to register on the website.
- Newsletter - This option requests the visitor's First and Last Name and Email Address only. It also gives the visitor the option to join any groups specified upon registration. This Registration option does not create a password; therefore it does not allow future login for the user on the website.
- Newsletter without first and last names - This option requests the visitor's Email Address only. It also gives the visitor the option to join any groups specified upon registration. This Registration option does not create a password; therefore it does not allow future login for the user on the website.
- Expanding Form - This option displays a compact registration requesting the visitor's Email Address and New Password. When the New Password field is clicked in, the form expands to have the visitor confirm the password and provide First and Last Name. It also gives the visitor the option to join any groups specified upon registration.
- Already Expanded Form - This option is an expanded registration form requesting the visitor's Email Address, New Password, Confirmed Password, First and Last Name. It also gives the visitor the option to join any groups specified upon registration.
