File Storage

Use the Files/Videos Block to add a list of documents or videos to the website. You can add almost any file type: pdf, Word, PowerPoint, Excel. The Files/Videos Block lists downloadable files with a short description of the file. This block in the Music view will display a mini player for audio files. With this block, visitors can browse the available documents, videos, or audio files and click to view or download. HotDoodle recommends using the portable document format (PDF) for documents and the mpeg format for videos. Both of these formats compress the files and are viewable on most computers.

Suggested uses for the Files/Videos Block:

  • List of articles or white papers
  • Collection of “how to” videos
  • Customer support documents or videos
  • Printable forms or company policies
  • Current advertisements or flyers
  • Product demonstration videos
