Audio on a Website

Audio can be added to a HotDoodle website in two ways:

1. Audio on a Player: Displaying an audio player on the website is the method to provide visitor controlled audio. The Files/Videos Block in the Music view will display a mini player for audio files. With this block, visitors can browse the available audio files and click to listen or pause. HotDoodle recommends using the mp3 or wav file formats for audio.

2. Background Sound on a Page: Background sound can be added to a HotDoodle website to automatically play when a page is visited. Music or audio automatic play should be used with restraint because visitors may not want to hear the audio and their only option to silence it, is to turn off their speakers. Also, background sound is set per page and when the page is left, the music stops.
