What is SEO Level 4?

SEO Level 3 caused there to be N pages, each with an area filled with different permutations of search phrases and where these selections were elsewhere on the page, causing extra emphasis on a particular term.  These are nice, but no permutation can turn a good page on air conditioning into a good page on heating, or a page on back country hikeing. What is best is if the page really were a heating page and the other really an air conditioning page.

Why an Alt Home Page and not just a Regular Page?

Alternative home pages have two primary purposes: SEO and sale closing.

  • In the case of SEO, landing pages count more than do regular pages, so having one with a specific set of keywords and matching content is likely to to place high in related searches.

Mechanics of Alt Home Pages

The basic mechanics of creating alternative home pages is described here.

However, this leaves it up to you to create all the independent content on the pages. Go Wild if You Want

You may now create pages under the [ Alt Home Page ] with whatever content you want, no matter how wildly different than the rest of the site or the normal home page.    You could even put a back country guiding page on a sheet metal site.

Use Conventions to Stay Sane

While you can go wild, most of the time you would not want to do so.  The alt home pages are not really there to turn a sheet metal site into a back country fishing site, they are typically there to focus the site such as between Fremont Gardening and Newark Pavers.
