SEO Level 2 caused there to be N pages, each with an area filled with different permutations of search phrases. The permutations, however, are limited to that area.  You may be on the Fremont/hypnotherapy/weight loss version of the page, but the rest of the page does not particularly emphasize Fremont or hypnotherapy or weight loss.

When a link for a SEO permutation is clicked, it sets , , and in the opened page to whatever had been the value for the first category, the second, etc.  (Not passed in is what those categories were called, that is why it is "term1" and not $catname)

Syntax: { $term1 text-to-use-if-not-set-by-other-means }
Whatever is in the brackets will be replaced by TERM1, if set. Otherwise the rest of the text will be used.

This syntax differs from {$categry_name} in that a default value can be assigned.  This default value is needed because sometimes the content will be shown without a SEO incoming link assigned term values.

SEO links reset the page title.
For example, this page's title is HotDoodle Support.

Unless you declare otherwise, SEO links set the page title to be their permutated article titles. A link to the article "Fremont" combined with article "Tax" becomes site title Fremont Tax.

As with the site title, the site description should fold in SEO term replacement.

As with the site title, the site keywords can fold in SEO term replacement.

For best SEO, the meta description should also be present in the page.  (It is not cler that the meta descrition has any impact anymore, but it is still a best practice to have ONE good description and to have it both as the meta description and on the page.)

Did you really read the first one, or did your eyes glaze?   How about the second one?   The more targeted the more attractive the description is for humans and for SEO.

The easiest way to obtain this is to use { $SITE_DESCRIPTION } as your introductory text -- this is suggested in the checklist for SEO level 2.   Now embed TERM references into this description (edit from Administration / Configure Site -- at least until you get into the domain specific SEO level.)

Now that you have a TERMs capability, go and embed it into the header and footer text you developed earlier.   These have the real advantage of matching the search.
